My first cavity

By stephanie

On saturday i went to the dentist. they were verry nice. but i had to wate a long time.
Then the nurse came and told me where to sit in a chair in the room with a chair and all the dentist tools where they look at your teeths. and then she said that i hadn't bin to the dentist in two yeers! i felt bad that i hadnt bin ther in so long and then she said that they had to take X-RAYS of my teeths so she put this reely hevy and reely big apron on top of me so that the X-RAYS would not get inside where they didn't want the X-RAYS to go inside of. she also said "and now i'm going to raise up your chair a little bit" and the chair went almost three feet up! that is not a little bit!
When they take X-RAYS of your teeths at the dentist they make you bite down reely hard on a flat and round pice of big plastic that goes in your mouth. and then they point a big round camera at your mouth and the nurse runs out of the room and hits a button and the big round camera makes a small, high noise and then she says "OK" and comes back. i guess when she comes back in the room it's safe for people to be in the room. so does that mean it isn't safe to be in the room when the big round camera is making that small, high noise? so why am i in the room still?!
And then the dentist came but this was a new dentist that i hadn't met before becuse i hadn't bin to the dentist in so long. and he pulled out all the dentist tools and said "open your mouth reely wide," which is the part i don't like because sitting in the dentist room your mouth gets really tired but you have to be good for the dentist because you want your teeths to be good.
So then the dentist starts poking around and all my spit gets sucked up by a loud, white sucky tube while the dentist pokes around at my teeths. and then he says "ohhhhhh..!"
When a dentist says anything that is not "OK" or "you're done now" then you know it isn't going to be good. this time the dentist said "ohhhh" in a way that did not make me feel like my teeths were good. because then he said "it looks like you have a cavity."
Inside my head i was thinking that this was wrong because i have never had a cavity before and all my teeths are always good! but the dentist said "you have a very small cavity on your molar inside the frontal ridge" and then i thought "that's good my dentist is smart because he can find cavities and name the different ridges." but i still did not like that i have a cavity.
So then he said that i would have to come back and fix my cavity. but he also said he could use the lazer! i have never seen a real life lazer before! and it's going to be in my teeths! i guess that is a cool part of having a cavity is now i can get lazered. i have always wanted to know what it is like to have a lazer in you even though i did not think it would be in my mouth because i have a cavity. it is still cool.
At the end, the dentist gave me a goodie bag with a toothbrush and toothpaste and said that everything was good. good????!?!?!?! how can it be good when i have my first cavity??? dentists don't really know what good is, i decided.
Then i left and took my goodie bag with me even though it wasn't really a goodie bag because there was not candy. even though i think that cavities are caused by candy i would reely liked to have gotten candy at the dentist to make me feel better about having a cavity. and also because then it would be like halloween. well, maybe not because you don't dress up like a pumpkin to go see the dentist. unless you are wearing a lot of baggy sweatpants. that are orange.

And that is the story of how i found out i have my first cavity. and when i get the cool lazer part i'll tell you then too. i hope i get a reel goodie bag after that part because then i won't have a cavity anymore. but i told the easter bunny and santa not to bring me any coke zero for my birthday because i think that is what gave me the cavity in the first place.

The end.

P.S.
THIS WAS WRITTEN BY ME! GROWN-UP-STEPHANIE! WEEEEEEEEE! WITH MY FIRST CAVITY! weeeee :(
