Making your own Starbucks drink

As a regular Starbucks junkie, I've been in of Starbucks about a billion times. I've heard a lot of drink orders from the very simple (tall coffee) to the very complex (grande, non-fat, two and a half pump, no foam, very hot, soy latte); from the newbies (a small iced tea) to the pros (iced venti half decaf iced coffee, unsweetened, with room). Among these many drink orders, one of the most popular (for non-coffee drinkers) is Starbucks's Passion Iced Tea Lemonade.

Now, this is a delicious drink. It's kind of like juice, but tarter. It's kind of like iced tea, but sweeter. And it's bright pink! What other form of caffeine-free refreshment could you want?

Since it's so yummy, I set out to make my own. Which is super easy... just you see!
For just $7, you can get Tazo Passion Iced Tea at a Starbucks or in a supermarket.

Just boil water and steep your tea! I put it in a big, glass jar with a handmade label so we can see the progress.

By taping the tea bag to the lid of the jar, it won't float around too much in the tea. You can use a bigger jar, too, if you want.

After steeping for about ten minutes, the tea turns to a bright, deep red colour.

Just pour over a cold glass of ice...

 ...and enjoy!

Cheers!!
